I can't believe it's almost here. I only have 2 weeks until I leave for the country of Brazil! I have almost everything done, just waiting on my visa to come back, and of course all the packing I'll have to do. So praise God it's all coming together!
I'm so glad I get/got to see alot of people before I leave. There's no way of knowing what God's gonna do while I'm gone. I'm looking forward to what He has in store for me, whether it means I'm to go into missions full-time or come back here and continue with the 'normal' life. I really don't know what's going to happen, what I'm going to do, or where I'm going to go after this trip. This is the time when I need to trust the Lord more than ever.
I was reading in the Psalms the other day and here's a couple verses that stood out to me...
"I love you O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom i take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord who is worthy of my praise, and I am saved from my enemies." Psalm 18:1-3
It encouraged me that I can trust Him to be the stronghold or shelter whenever I need it. It doesn't always have to be when there is persecution or trouble. When I am unsure or scared, He is always there to help me through and show me the way.
So even though I'm excited and nervous about this trip, I know I can trust and lean on God, my rock and fortress.
